Charlottetown has overdone it this year.
Driving down Great George Street yesterday, I noticed that all of the nice xmas trees are out. All decorated in lights and ribbons. I then see an ugly sign next to each tree with the name of a commercial business on it as sponsor. Over the top I think. When does it get any uglier? The beautiful architecture of the Basilica hindered by a row of cheap white signage.
Who's idea is it to make a religious holiday one giant ad? I guess that was coca cola with the Santa pop. But I thought our island was safe from the big bad ugly capitalist holiday ways.
Boy was I dreaming.
