My pal Giffy had me in stitches the other day. First let me begin by saying that I was at a friends place by myself on New Year's day, just enjoying the high speed and peace and quiet. Boy am I going to miss dial up this month. Nope, not even a little. So I check out his site to see what's going on in the world of giffybot. I found his daily commute blog. I think giffy has stumbled onto the secret code of bus drivers.
I was working on that case myself but it never seemed to be getting anywhere, taking all those trains. The closest I got to cracking that case was once on "my route". (We used to call it the lorrie bus but it's also known as the 19. It went everywhere I needed to go...school, vee's hood, and karate.) I had this freakish conversation with my bus driver about my chihuahua. He had a little chihuahua himself. I think his name was Roscoe, the chihuahua not the driver. We were saying things like, "Gee it's too bad renny couldn't meet roscoe." The things you say when you are stuck on a bus.
Looking at my resolutions for last year I did pretty good. I'm picking up JSP quite well this past month. For 2003, I aim to snowboard. I know most people try to come up with something that's a little less fun for their resolution, but I've already quit smoking and cussing and drinking. Karate keeps my small but slightly lethal shell (still dreaming of my Hollywood debut with Jackie Chan) in good form so no unused gym memberships or freaking slim-fast for me. I did get a blender for xmas though. There will probably be shakes in my future, and fresh salsa and juice with carrots.
