Geek speak warning ahead...The following would only be interesting to geeks of the Macintosh nature.
Geek speak START. I've been playing around with OS X lately. There's a sweet little titanium G4 laptop here at work. The first thing I did was get rid of the dorky icon dock at the bottom of the screen. (That's the one with the big annoying icons.) I slid it over to the left and shrunk it to a barely visible size. (just a smidge past the 'Small' setting.) Then I set the minimize effect to 'Genie'. Ahhh I could sit and open and close windows over and over, watching that cool effect. Truly beautiful. The next thing was to turn on 'Magnification' and set it to 'Max'. Finally, check - 'Automatically hide and show the Dock' and voila!...the desktop is clean and when my mouse hits the left of the screen the icons are dazzling. Geek speak END
Well I'm completely settled at my new place. Renny loves it there, he has so much space to run around. I discovered when trying to hook up my laptop to the hub, that Eastlink charges by each MAC address connected. Shisters. Now I have to try and get around that somehow.
On another note, I'm addicted to my first video game since Tetris. It's Tricky for PS2. It's tricky to rock around it's tricky! Who would have thought doing tricky tricks on a snowboard would capture my attention so well. I don't even have to be the one with the controller to feel its mind numbing effects. Too bad I couldn't really do those tricks on a board. Well since most of them are humanly impossible, it's not so bad. I don't know that many boarders who can take their board off in mid jump, swing it around their neck, do a flip and then land perfectly.
