What a perfect weekend, with perfect company. Yesterday, I decided to unplug and enjoy a day outdoors. My day started with some coffee and a little poker. Then a roller blade around the block, before going to the Market. Next a trip to Canadian Tire to buy a new snorkel, the one I bought for Belize last summer was too big for me. A drive in the country was next, to the Kitchen Witch for a tea leaf reading. Being a former "kitchen witch" myself I always enjoy taking a trip down memory lane.
It was then off to my favorite beach near my parents house for a snorkel. I was all set to jump in when I noticed that my feet started to get the cold pains. Snap the water was cold. The beach is on the North Shore. Cold as ice. My snorkel lasted 10 seconds cold before I had to surface cold and run for shore cold. Karate on the beach was a fun substitute. Before heading to a movie, (Anchorman, which I nearly cried at points I was laughing so hard.) my guest David and I stopped to hit a bucket of balls at the driving range.
I love when I can outdrive the boys. I had so much fun. I nearly forgot how much I love to golf. I went back today to hit another basket.
I'm hitting over 200 yards with my 3 wood. Damn, I need to get a new driver. I had to call my brother to scare him a little before our Family Challenge 04. Now if only I wasn't such a nervous putter.
More karate today. I had a chance to grill both David and Sensai Pike about unsu. I'm breaking it down slowly. Who knows I may have it ready to perform at the Nationals this year afterall. What a perfect way to spend the weekend.
