I've been thinking of taking the 1 week Creative Writing workshop at Humber College this summer. I realized this afternoon at lunch with Sandy and Nigel that the reason I haven't applied yet, is the fear of rejection.
You have to submit up to 15 pages of a current piece of writing to get accepted into the workshop. I've started my novel over a year and a half ago, and this type of mentoring and direction I think, is exactly what I need to focus and finish it. I realize that by submitting and getting rejected it may be a hard hit to my creative ego. Of course that shouldn't stop me, only cause me to work harder at refining and making it better. I guess I've been rolling around this idea long enough, it's time to act!
